Our organisations and those in them have only so much bandwidth.
So what we choose NOT to work on matters at least as much as what we choose to work on.
Many organisations behave as if, just because they have a lot of people and functions, they must have a lot of bandwidth.
In reality though most stuff is connected.
Seemingly separate initiatives have a habit of arriving all at once. An implementation deluge.
Those at the sharp end of serving customers are often the ones catching the most rain.
And while a little is good and helps things grow, too much just leaves everyone drowning.
